# Somnia Bridge

> Moves SOMI, USDso, USDC.e, USDT, WBTC and WETH between Global and the Tokyo Subchain over Hyperlane warp routes, with a test lane between the two testnets.

The Somnia Bridge runs over [Hyperlane](https://hyperlane.xyz) warp routes, with one lane per environment: Global ↔ Tokyo on mainnet, and Global testnet ↔ Tokyo testnet. To send a token, call `transferRemote` on that token's warp router on the source chain. The message is delivered to the token's router on the other chain.

## Mainnet: Global ↔ Tokyo

- **SOMI** is native on both chains. The receiving router pays it out of its own balance.
- **USDso, USDC.e, USDT, WBTC and WETH** are locked as collateral on Global, and a synthetic is minted 1:1 on Tokyo with the same decimals. Sending back burns the synthetic and releases the collateral.
- Each router has the same address on both chains.

Two of three validators sign every message. Each chain can pause sends out of it and deliveries into it. The relayer pays delivery gas, so a transfer needs only the source chain's gas.
